Old-school trade business. New-world front desk.
You built a good trade business. Now the phone owns you.
We install the front desk that answers the call, qualifies the job, books the estimate, and texts the follow-up. So the owner isn’t the receptionist, the CRM, and the closer at the same time.
No free calls. The hour is paid because the hour is the work.
The leak
Three numbers from a real trade shop
The owner answering from the truck is not a phone system. It is the bottleneck.
What the desk does
Five things, every call, every day
- Answers your number live, in your business name, at 9 pm on a Saturday.
- Asks only the questions that change price, routing, fit, and urgency.
- Puts the estimate on your real calendar with the notice you set.
- Texts back every missed call in seconds, then keeps the conversation going.
- Never leaves a customer on read. If it can’t answer, it says so and gets you.
What it is not
- Not a $49-a-month bot with a generic “home services” script.
- Not a company brain, a dashboard, or a team of Slack coworkers.
- Not a lead-gen agency. It answers demand; it does not create it.
Proof
I run it on my own shops
Three seasons brokering landscape and hardscape at the Jersey Shore at a 30% markup, no trucks owned. The desk on this page is the one that answers my sod and hardscape lines. Every script in the Doctrine is a text it actually sends.
- 20 texts, 4 paid memberships, $1,796, zero ad spend. One warm text to past customers, a checkout link on every yes, one re-nudge to the holdout.
- $2,309 in ads, 100 leads, 23 quotes worth $284,655. The ad filled the pipeline. The desk decided the revenue.
- 25 missed callers texted the day a dead line was found. One $9,400 job said yes over two cheaper bids.
The offer
Open prices. Paid door.
Ads and cold outreach go to the $297 document or the $199 hour. The $5,000 install is sold on the call, never from a button.
How it works
Three steps
- Pay for the hour. The calendar opens after checkout. We call your number after hours before we talk, so we hear what your customers hear.
- The desk goes in. Number, calendar, qualifying tree, texting, one pass from a recording of you. Seven to fourteen days.
- You own it. Written hand-off, every account in your name. Retainer if you want us watching it.
Fit
Who this is for, and who it is not
For
- Lawn, landscape, hardscape, irrigation, tree, exterior cleaning.
- One to eight crews, or a broker with subs.
- The owner still answers from the truck or lets it go to voicemail.
- Seasonal. Feels November coming.
Not for
- Pre-revenue. Go get twenty jobs the hard way first.
- $5M–$25M firms that want a company-wide brain.
- Prompt-pack hunters.
- Anyone competing for jobs in Ocean or Monmouth County, NJ. That is my market.
Questions
Six answers
Is the call free?
No. $199. It is a working session, not a pitch, and it is credited if you buy the Install within 14 days.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Port it, forward it, or take a new local number. It stays yours.
What does it cost to run after the install?
The phone and texting providers bill you directly, typically under $100 a month at trade-shop volume. The Retainer is optional.
Does it quote?
It gives ballparks only from bands you state. Exact numbers stay with you.
What if it can't answer something?
It says "let me check with the owner and get right back to you," texts you, and never goes silent on the customer.
Why $5,000 and not $49 a month?
Because it is installed around how you talk, on your accounts, and one recovered patio pays for the year.
